Due to the vast number of non TELUS devices available, data configuration varies by device. You can use these general guidelines and settings to configure your device's data connection.

If you are using a compatible and unlocked non TELUS Blackberry device, data will automatically be configured when you insert your TELUS SIM card

Reset your Huawei B593 4G LTE Smart Hub to its original state

You may want to reset your Smart Hub to the original factory settings as a last resort or if you are giving the Smart Hub to someone else.

CAUTION: Resetting your Smart Hub deletes your custom settings.

  1. Launch your web browser.

  2. Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press the Enter key.

  3. Your Smart Hub Web user interface screen displays. Log in using the Admin account. Typically, the password is admin unless you have changed it.

  4. In the left column, select System.

  5. Select Reset.

  6. Click Restore.

  7. Click OK.

The Smart Hub is reset to the original factory settings.

Set up and use call forwarding on your Telus mobile device

Use Call Forwarding to redirect all incoming calls to another North American number. You can still make outgoing calls on your phone, but incoming calls will go to the number you set up.

Call Forward

Long distance and Call Forward

  • If you forward your calls to a number outside of your local calling area long distance charges are applicable. Note: Even if your plan includes long distance within Canada and the US, long distance charges will still apply to forwarded calls

  • Calls may only be forwarded to numbers within North America

Your Telus plan and Call Forward

  • A Call Forwarding feature can be added to your rate plan. To add Call forwarding to your Telus Plan call us at 416-743-3249 Otherwise Call Forwarding minutes are billed at a pay-per use rate

  • Text Messages cannot be forwarded to another mobile or landline phone number

  • Call Forwarding is not available for TELUS Prepaid accounts

Call Forward Unconditional

Incoming calls are immediately forwarded to the destination number.

Activate Call Forward Unconditional:

  1. Dial *21*, followed by the 10-digit number you want your calls forwarded to, then #

  2. A message indicates that Call Forward Unconditional is activated

Deactivate Call Forward Unconditional:

  1. Dial #21#

  2. A message indicates that Call Forward Unconditional is deactivated

Call Forward Busy

Incoming calls are forwarded to the destination number only if your phone is busy.

Activate Call Forward Busy:

  1. Dial *67*, followed by the 10-digit number you want your calls forwarded to, then #

  2. A message indicates that Call Forward Busy is activated

Deactivate Call Forward Busy:

  1. Dial #67#

  2. A message indicates that Call Forward Busy is deactivated

Call Forward Not Reachable

Incoming calls are forwarded to the destination number when your phone is turned off or not receiving the network's signals.

Activate Call Forward Not Reachable:

  • Dial *62*, followed by the 10-digit number you want your calls forwarded to, then #

  • A message indicates that Call Forward Not Reachable is activated

Deactivate Call Forward Not Reachable:

  • Dial #62#

  • A message indicates that Call Forward Not Reachable is deactivated

Call Forward No Reply

Incoming calls are forwarded to the destination number only if the call is not answered.

Activate Call Forward No Reply:

  • Dial *61*, followed by the 10-digit number you want your calls forwarded to, then #

  • A message indicates that Call Forward No Reply is activated

Deactivate Call Forward No Reply:

  • Dial #61#

  • A message indicates that Call Forward No Reply is deactivated

Call Forward Variable

Incoming calls are forwarded to the destination number after 10, 20, or 30 seconds.

Activate Call Forward Variable:

  • Dial *004*, followed by the 10-digit number you want your calls forwarded to, followed by *, followed by the number of seconds (The options are 10, 20, or 30), followed by #. For example, if you want to forward your calls to 604-555-0123 for 20 seconds the sequence would be: *004*604-555-0123*20#

  • A message indicates that Call Forward Variable is activated

Deactivate Call Forward Variable:

  • Dial #004#A message indicates that Call Forward Variable is deactivated
